S.H.A.R.E. is a generous corporation with the purpose to engage in and fund the research of diseases and illness, substance abuse and community violence. All of which are considered social hazards. S.H.A.R.E stands for Social hazards, awareness, research and education. The company educates the public to increase awareness and understanding of social hazards. They organize, manage and participate in fundraising for this corporation and other non-profit charitable organizations.
S.H.A.R.E. helps with immediate needs like housing, clothing and education. S.H.A.R.E. is deeply committed to helping educate the minds & spirits of the communities children. They believe in helping to harvest and educate a healthy crop of young people to successfully lead our communities into the future.
S.H.A.R.E. began distribution in January of 1988, and has grown from providing to 100 people a month to over 8,000.
Bigwood is the CEO of the Executive Board, meaning all boards except the street team. He has been a member for more than 10 years. He works with the entertainment side and is in charge of projects for youth education, sports and public relations. Bigwood goes to schools talks to the children, giving them hope to stay in school, talking with under privileged children, gang intervention, and going into the prison systems both men and women, giving them the hope, that they still have a chance to be successful and not to give up. Whenever he is called upon, he is there, no matter the situation and he also still manages to feed and clothe families through SHARE and other non-profit events. He has been the MC. For numerous S.H.A.R.E. events, including Chaffey College Event for the Homeless, featuring a Tribute by Jim Bonner, Grainer Auditorium homeless event for Ontario Tent City.
Current Events- S.H.A.R.E. is a partner & Sponsor of the events to help raise
money to continue to do the food bank. We have three big events coming up. 1) is for Thanksgiving (2) Golf Tournament (3) Dec 5 2009 Christmas in the Park in the City of Pomona. In addition Share is opening a New branch at 1001 9th Ave, Upland Ca with
the Odd Fellow's and the Cooper Museum. Bigwood & Share is sponsoring a Street-Race car event with "Fresh start". look at www.freshstartmininc.org Share works with this organization closely and is a part of the coalition for change. At Freshstart Bigwood is working with Selena as a Director of Community projects. We are a part of inland Empire Leadership Conference. see www.Regionalvpc.org . The race car will be taken from school to school for a can good drive and used to promote education and sports at high schools and Share Events. Sowing Seeds for Life
Founded in 2005, Sowing Seeds for Life is a non-profit organization, who's mission is to eliminate hunger across the globe. Being apart of America's second Harvest, their second and similar mission is,
“…Feeding America's hunger through a nationwide network of member food banks and engaging our country in the fight to end hunger.”
Sowing Seeds is said to have provided food for those who have been placed in unfortunate situations like, illness and or accident and to those that are unable to provide for themselves life's basic essentials.
With the help of many gracious community donors and the selfless participation of their volunteers. Since 2007, Sowing Seeds for Life has achieved an all time high of providing over one-thousand people with food and other bare necessities of life. Not only does this organization strive to provide those in need with food, but they put much of their effort into beginning healthy relationships that are bonded with trust, so that other needs can be met, such as clothing, education and housing.
CFO, of Sowing Seeds for Life Selena Lindsey, shares a close personal friendship with well known comedian Big Wood. Their partnership plays a major role in keeping the non-profit organization on its feet. Big Wood is a proud sponsor and partner of Sowing Seeds for Life. Bigwood has been a part of the organization for over 10 years and acts as CEO of the entertainment division, specifically with the youth. He encourages all of his friends, actors, athletes and other comedians alike, to do their part in solving the world's hunger issue. He says,
“We must provide…knowing we cannot save the world,
but we can ALL do our part.”
Sowing Seeds and Winston Woodard, stage name, Big Wood, work together to encourage the youth and give them hope for brighter future and he really enjoys helping the communities and doing his part in perfecting the planet to build stronger, healthier individuals for the future.
